The System Sensor P2RLED is a standard-size, wall-mounted audible and visible fire-alarm notification appliance from the L-Series LED platform. It combines a selectable-output horn and clear-lens LED strobe in a red, tamper-resistant housing marked “FIRE.”
Designed for 24V notification appliance circuits, the P2RLED uses LED strobe technology to reduce current draw compared with legacy xenon appliances. Lower power requirements can provide greater flexibility when calculating NAC capacity, voltage drop and power-supply requirements.
Seven field-selectable wall-strobe settings—15, 30, 75, 95, 110, 135 and 185 candela—allow installers to configure the visual output for the intended room and code requirements. Eight horn configurations provide Temporal 3 or continuous operation, standard or 3.1 kHz tones, and high or low volume.
The supplied universal mounting plate supports a plug-in installation with minimal device intrusion into the electrical box. An onboard shorting spring allows installers to test wiring continuity before attaching the horn strobe, helping protect the device from construction damage and reduce installation-related ground faults.
Front-accessible digital voltage meter test points let technicians check device and end-of-line voltage without removing the appliance from the wall. The P2RLED also supports System Sensor synchronization when connected to a compatible power supply, properly configured fire-alarm control panel or MDL3 synchronization module.

Compatibility and Installation Notice
The P2RLED is a 24V fire-alarm notification appliance and is not a standalone horn or smoke detector. It requires connection to a compatible fire-alarm control panel or listed notification power supply.
Electrical compatibility with earlier System Sensor devices does not automatically confirm that every appliance can be combined on the same NAC. Before installation, verify:
- Available NAC voltage and current
- Required synchronization protocol
- Circuit polarity and wiring class
- Voltage drop at the final appliance
- Selected horn and candela settings
- Fire-alarm panel and power-supply compatibility
- Applicable NFPA 72 and local code requirements
- Approval by the authority having jurisdiction
