Product Overview
The HES 9600-630 is a heavy-duty, windstorm-rated surface-mounted electric strike designed for rim exit devices with a 3/4-inch throw latchbolt. Its no-cut design mounts directly to the surface of a compatible door frame, helping simplify new access-control installations and retrofit projects.
All operating components are enclosed within a durable 3/4-inch-thick stainless steel housing. A separate mounting base and decorative cover permit horizontal adjustment and help protect the mounting hardware against tampering.
The non-handed HES 9600 can be installed on aluminum, metal, or wood frames. Installers can select 12VDC or 24VDC operation and configure the strike for either fail-secure or fail-safe operation in the field. This 630 version features a satin stainless-steel finish and is rated for outdoor use.

Compatibility and Installation Notes
The HES 9600-630 is intended for compatible rim exit devices with a 3/4-inch throw latchbolt. Verify the exit-device latch geometry, frame condition, door alignment, voltage, life-safety requirements, and local building codes before ordering or installing the strike.
No frame cutting is normally required. The mounting base is positioned on the surface of the frame and aligned with the exit-device latchbolt before the decorative cover is installed.
Wood screws are not included. Additional mounting hardware may be required for wood frames or specific frame conditions.
This model is windstorm rated but is not fire rated. Do not use it on a fire-rated opening unless the complete door assembly and installed hardware have been approved for that specific application.
Professional installation by a qualified access-control or door-hardware technician is recommended.
