DSC PG9914 PowerG 915 MHz Pet-Immune PIR Motion Sensor, 39 ft, White

The DSC PG9914 is a wireless indoor passive infrared motion detector designed for compatible 915 MHz PowerG security systems. It combines motion detection, pet-immunity technology and supported temperature reporting in a compact white housing suitable for residential and commercial intrusion protection.

Target Specific Imaging technology distinguishes between people and pets weighing up to 85 pounds when the detector is installed according to DSC’s placement instructions. The advanced True Motion Recognition algorithm analyzes movement to differentiate potential intruders from environmental disturbances that could otherwise produce false alarms.

Fresnel and cylindrical lenses provide uniform 90-degree coverage extending up to 39 × 39 feet, without requiring vertical lens adjustment. Two remotely selectable sensitivity settings allow the system to trigger an alarm after either one motion event or two consecutive events.

PowerG two-way wireless communication provides supervised communication, adaptive transmission and remote device configuration. The included CR123A lithium battery provides an estimated six to eight years of service under typical operating conditions.

• Pet-Immunity Information

  Pet immunity applies to animals weighing up to 85 pounds when the detector is mounted and configured according to DSC’s instructions. The recommended installation height for pet immunity is approximately seven feet.

  At an installation height of approximately 7.9 feet, DSC instructs installers to remove the pet mask; pet immunity is not supported at that height. Pet behavior, furniture placement, stairs and the detector’s viewing angle can also affect performance. Pet immunity has not been evaluated by UL.

  Temperature-Monitoring Notice

  The PG9914 can transmit temperature and light-level information, but the availability and presentation of this data depend on the connected control panel, firmware and user application. DSC specifically identifies temperature display through the user application when the detector is enrolled with a supported PowerSeries Pro system.

  The temperature feature supplements the motion detector’s primary intrusion function. It should not be represented as a dedicated thermostat, freeze detector or life-safety temperature sensor. 

  System Compatibility

  The PG9914 is compatible with supported North American PowerG systems using the 912–919 MHz band, commonly marketed as 915 MHz. Compatible platforms include:

  • DSC PowerSeries Pro
  • Qolsys IQ panels equipped with a compatible PowerG radio
  • Compatible DSC PowerG receivers and RF keypads
  • PG9920 PowerG repeater-supported installations

  Compatible DSC receivers include the HSM2HOST9, HS2LCDRF9, HS2LCDRFP9 and HS2ICNRF9 families. The manufacturer identifies the PG9914 as compatible with PowerSeries Neo, PowerSeries Pro and supported Qolsys panels.

• Important Compatibility Notice

  The PG9914 is the North and Latin American PowerG model operating within the 912–919 MHz band. It is not interchangeable with PG4914 433 MHz or PG8914 868 MHz regional models.

  This detector does not connect directly to Wi-Fi or a mobile application. Remote alerts and temperature display require a compatible PowerG alarm panel, communicator and applicable interactive-services plan.
